I started this blog to add a regular mom’s perspective on sending a summer boy to school at age 5. I have learned a lot about what it takes to get a child ready for kindergarten and I hope sharing my experience will help other parents.
For now, I am a stay-at-home mom of two boys. My youngest will start kindergarten in two years as a spring birthday boy.
Previously, I worked as a newspaper reporter, who enjoyed covering local education issues. I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism, associate’s degree in marketing management, in addition to graduating from a real estate school. I love learning!
